What to expect
After your consultation to create your personal treatment plan, you will receive your Sculptra® Aesthetic injections in one of our private procedure rooms. Your ZO® skin care professional may apply a numbing cream or local anesthetic before cleansing and marking the injection sites. Once you are ready, the filler will be injected into the deeper layers of the skin at the selected areas. For best results, we normally recommend a series of four Sculptra® Aesthetic injections scheduled about three weeks apart. Following your treatment, you may experience mild or moderate swelling, redness, bruising, or tenderness at the sites of injections that should heal on their own in 3 – 5 days. To speed healing, you may apply a cold compress to the treated areas. You should limit UV exposure after your injection and always use sunscreen. Many patients will have improvements right after their appointment with complete results developing after 3 – 5 months when the increased collagen production improves the health of the complexion. If your Sculptra® Aesthetic doses are given in a series over 3 – 4 months, your results may be visible for as long as two years.
